A Review of John Grochowski's "The Casino Answer Book"
Casinos are considered some of the most profitable establishments in present days. They are attractive to tourists as well as to local people because they offer games wherein visitors can have the chance of improving their money or properties. There are different games that can be played in casinos which include poker, blackjack, roulette and backgammon.
Because of the improving number of people visiting casinos, John Grochowski introduced a book about ways on how casino players can enhance their odds of winnings. The book has 20 sections allotted to different games that can be played in casinos. Each section has a series of questions that will assess one's knowledge about a particular casino game. The author also supplied answers to the questions presented in the book.
The data gathered by the author are accurate and they are proven to be factual. The topics discussed in the book range from beatable games such as poker to unbeatable games like roulette. The author provided betting strategies for each casino game that was featured in the book. In this manner, readers are able to select the most efficient strategy that they can be used in playing their favorite games in casinos.
Even if the book contains information that are similar with other gambling books, it is still advantageous because the presence of multiple choice questions in each section allows readers to have fun while increasing their knowledge about various casino games. "The Casino Answer Book," may not be attractive to new gamblers because the format used by the author in presenting his ideas is boring and may not be exciting for amateur players, but it is for sure useful for professional gamblers. The book contains trivia that even professional gamblers have not known. Hence, this reading opens new knowledge to casino visitors.
Despite of the limitations of the book, most gamblers who will read it will gain new ideas on other gambling techniques that could be applied in several casino games specifically in video poker, blackjack and roulette since the author concentrated on these games. Even if this book is not highly recommended by most writers, "The Casino Answer Book," is still worth reading for there is still information included in this book that have not appeared or explored in other gambling books. Furthermore, casino goers who desire to read this book have nothing lose but there is a great chance that they will gain knowledge from Grochowski's writing.
